Madonna will perform during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show in Indianapolis next year, sports site SB Nation reports. No artists have been formally announced for the championship game, however, and a spokesperson for NFL declined to comment. If true, this is the third time Madonna has circled the gig according to omg.yahoo.com. She was rumored to headline the halftime show in 1998 and then again in 2000, bot others landed the coveted spot instead. The performance would be a great opportunity for the Material Girl to perform her new material. Recent halftime performers include The Who (2010) and last year's lineup of The Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash.
