A TV series based on the hit movie Zombie land may be on the drawing board. The success of AMC's The Walking Dead series has inspired FOX to consider making a sitcom out of Zombieland.
A sequel to the film has been in the words for moths, although its director Ruben Fleischer doesn't believe it will go through now. The film's writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, have already been asked to participate in the project. They had previously discussed the possibility of a series in 2010. "If you watch the movie with that in mind, you will see some remnants of the television show," said Reese. "We have the 'Zombie Kill of the Week,' which was always intended to happen every week. The movie ends on a cliffhanger; it doesn't have a real resolution. [The movie's ending] is just our guys driving off into the sunset for some new adventures. That's because , that's how the television pilot ended."
