Although Marvel refuses to reveal details, Ben Kingsley is now expected to play the villain Mandarin in the upcoming film, Iron Man 3. Kingsley was added to the cast a while back, but Marvel repeatedly denied that he would play Mandarin.
Reports revealed the villains identity, and added that Mandarin will not be the main villain in the film. That title belongs to Aldrich Killian, played by Guy Pearce. Killian will use Mandarin's resources and nanotechnology to create a line of super soldiers. The plot is based on the "Extremis" story arc in the Iron Man comics.
Coldblood, played by James Badge Dale, and Firepower played by Ashley Hamilton, will likely be part of Killian's army. The film will feature the red, white and blue "Iron Patriot" armor, and shows a picture of the suit taken on the set. The film is scheduled for release on May 3, 2013.
